A major focus of Year 4 Science is to develop Scientific Enquiry skills - learning from doing and experimentation.
Moving and Growing - Bones and Muscles, Habitats - Animals and Humans, Keeping Warm - Temperature Insulators and Conductors, Separating Solids and Liquids, Friction and Forces, Circuits and Electrical Conductors.

BOYS GAMES

Games is Year 4 sees competitve matches in school and against other schools playing a major part for all children, along with individual cooredination and skills development.
Football is played in Term 1. A key focus is the development of positional awareness and teamwork. Rugby is played in Term 2 in Year 4 with contact but uncontested lineouts and scrums. Cricket is played is Term 3 normally in teams of 12, with 6 pairs of batsmen on a kwik cricket format.
