Reception

Children enter one of our two Reception classes in the September after their fourth birthday. Classes are kept  small, with no more than 18 in a class, and are staffed by a teacher and a teaching assistant.

Our Reception classes continue to build on the six areas of learning in the Foundation Stage. Although more emphasis is placed on the acquisition of literacy and numeracy skills, learning takes place through carefully planned activities, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.

The Reception day starts at 8.40 and continues to 3.15. After School Care is available until 5.30 pm.
