Working Together

Pastoral care is at the core of all that we do. We want our children to feel safe, recognised and valued, since from this stems the confidence to take risks, an essential foundation of learning. Each child from Nursery to Year 8 has a form teacher who will oversee a child’s progress and welfare. Contact with parents is frequent and encouraged as we realise how essential it is for home and school to work together. Parents are welcomed into the Bishopsgate community as helpers, spectators and supporters, but most importantly as our partners in the education of their children. There are regular progress meetings and detailed written reports are sent home at the end of the autumn and summer terms.
